* Two years of relevant coursework completed by start of internship * Candidate should be a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business or a related field * Exposure to diverse agriculture in Northern CA and the San Joaquin Valley. * Identify steps in the loan documentation process * Work directly with the marketing department * Learn resources and techniques for prospective customers * Exposure to both agricultural real estate and chattel appraisal practices and techniques * Exposure to loan applications, tax analysis, credit analysis, and credit philosophies * Internship will rotate between Chico and Kingsburg offices interns will be based in a GSFC office but required to travel * Eight-week paid internship from mid-June to early August Golden State Farm Credit’s (GSFC) internship program offers college students the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job training of the agricultural finance process, including agricultural lending and real estate appraisal in Northern California and the South Valley.
